Dana,
when I think of the changes that you have been through in the last 3 weeks it, makes me so proud of you. You have made great choices in your friends, your education and even in the life style that you are going after. I think that you have been amazing and I am so proud to be your mom.
I am afraid that you are getting caught up with the small stuff and you need to get your "house in order"
I think that Blake is great and we truly love this guy. We are happy with his career move and his maturity and growth that we have seen since we met him. I love the fact that he loves you and has shown you what love is. If this is the person that ends up as your husband we would be proud to have him as a part of our family.
BUTTTTTTTT you both have a lot more growing up to do. I hate the fact that you do not trust him and I feel that it is so harmful to you that you spend so much time, mistrusting him. You should not be snooping in his e-mails. I hate the fact he is not always honest with you. He does not always trust you with the truth, that you so much want.

SCAD should be your only priority right now for both of you. You need to be going to classes, joining clubs and organizations you need to be meeting people.this is the best time of your life and you do not realize it. Thanks to the help of your grandmother, we are willing to let you do any internship, traveling abroad and any opportunities to be the best at your field.You have an obligation to take care of Dad and I when we get old. You have a scholarship and you need to make a 3.0 grade point average. You need to be organized in your life, self disiplined and responsible. I know that this seems like a lot , but you can and will do this.
I love you very much and I want to hear that you are getting enough sleep each night. That you are eating properly and not skipping meals. I want to get you a bicycle, check out the prices and I want you to do your laundry

It is so weird writing your feelings for the world to read. My friend is leaving home, she is all grown up and it is time for her to fly. There is know doubt in my mind that she will be successful in all that she does. I am proud of her and excited that she will have an opportunity to shine. SCAD is lucky to have someone like her at their school. All that meets her and all that becomes her friend, will be better off for it.
That leaves my baby at home with me. The one that also makes me proud the one that is a very special star. The one that is sweet and beautiful and kind. I feel so lucky to have the next two years with my baby and then she will be gone too.
